In San Jose, California, on September 16, 1995, Aaron Gordon was born and his mother Shelly Davis Gordon is a former basketball player, and his father is Ed Gordon. Drew, his older brother, is a professional basketball player as well and from 2010-2014, his older sister Elise participated in basketball for the Harvard women’s team. He attended Archbishop Mitty High School and has played basketball well since he was a youngster. In his sophomore and junior years, he coached his team to win at the Division II state basketball finals. In 2013, he received the USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year award.

Beginning on April 2, 2013, Aaron Gordon had pledged to attend the University of Arizona. He did a fantastic job guiding the squad to a victory of 110-99 and was also given the game’s MVP. The Orlando Magic selected Aaron Gordon with the fourth overall choice in the 2014 NBA Draft. He joined the team for the 2014 NBA Summer League after joining them, and he played in the first 11 games of the 2014-2015 season. He soon scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 97-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, recording his first double-double of his career. For the 2015 NBA Summer League, he joined the Orlando Magic once more in July. He scored 33 points, a career high, in a 113-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2016–2017 season. He recorded a career-high nine assists in January 2019 during a 112-84 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
