Alex Sorgente is an American professional skateboarder. He started his career in skateboarding in 2005. After winning back to back at the Vans Combi Pool Amateur series he was set on the path of becoming a successful skateboarder.

Sorgente was born in Lake Worth, Florida, USA in 1997 and he grew up between Florida and Bologna, Italy, where his father had a native home. Alex secured his first Professional win at the 2013 Pro Australian Bowl Championship which were held in Newcastle, Australia. He is majorly a park skateboarder and he won a gold medal at the park event of the 2016 World Skateboarding Championship. Sorgente was also set play for USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, but he had dropout due to an ankle injury. His stance as a skateboarder is goofy.
Alex Sorgente secured a fifth position at the Tampa Am 2011 Vert Qualifier. He was second at the Tampa Am 2012 Vert. Sorgente also secured a ninth position at the 2012 X Games and finished sixth at the 2012 Dew Tour. He was seventh at the X Games Munich and fifth at the X Games Barcelona in 2013. That same year he was placed seventh in the Dew Tour Ocean City – Bowl. In the year 2015, Sorgente secured a fifth place at the X Games Austin and seventh at the Van Doren Invitational held in Vancouver. He was second in the Oi Bowl Jam that same year. In 2018, he won the first place in the Vans Park Series Qualifiers – Sao Paulo Men’s Semi Finals.
Sorgente was a newcomer compared to his other competition but still, he managed to make his own name through his incredible moves on skateboard. Along with being good at skateboarding, he is also very consistent in his game. He was ranked the World Champion in the Grom division of the Quicksilver Bowl-riders contest three times (2005, 2007, and 2008). He was also the champion of the Grind for Life for five consecutive years (2007-2011). With his sharp moves and consistency, Sorgente is setting new standards in the skateboarding game all the time. He also worked as a stunt double in a movie titled ‘The Last Summer’.
