Early Life
He was born on 17 December 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. He belonged of Sicilian descent and was raised in a Catholic in New Jersey. His father Anthony was an accountant and his mother Nina was a housewife. He was the eldest of siblings. Bob Guccione attended a prep school which was in Blairstown, New Jersey. He attended his high school at Blair academy. In his teens, he married Lilyann Becker and they had a daughter, Tonina but the marriage failed and he left the wife. He worked as a cartoonist in the American weekly newspaper to support his family.
Career
Bob Guccione founded the “Penthouse” in 1965. It was a men’s magazine and the magazine writing was far too investigative than any other men’s magazine. It also covered stories about government scandals. Bob never wanted to publish any sports content rather he preferred to cover the art world. He photographed most of the models by himself for the magazine’s early issues. As the “Penthouse” grew more successful, He bought a huge mansion in Manhattan. In the 1970s, Bob invested $45 million in the construction of a luxury hotel in Malinska. He also invested his money in advertisements.

Death
Bob was a heavy smoker and he had surgery for throat cancer. After some time, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and he died at the age of 79 on 20 October 2010 at Plano Specialty Hospital in Texas.
