Chad Campbell’s passion for golf developed when he started playing friendly games with his father and brother, who was a golf instructor. He played golf at Midland College and after spending two years in the college he won a scholarship at University of Nevada Las Vegas and transferred there. In 1994, Campbell was named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All American. He was also ranked No.1 in the final NJCAA national Poll.
Campbell turned profession in the year 1996. Until 2000, he played on the three tier NGA Hooters Tour and was leading career money list for three times because of his 13 tournament wins. Later he played in second tier, Buy.com Tour (Korn Fery Tour) finally making his way to the PGA Tour. In 2003, he was the winner of The Tour Championship. In the same year he was a runner up at PGA Championship and was seventh in the money list of PGA tour. In 2004, he earned his second PGA tour win and it was in the year 2007 that he secured his fourth PGA tour win. He also won at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in 2006.
One of Campbell’s career highlight was being the runner up at the 2009 Maters. He also has three top five finishes in major tournaments.
In 2004, he was also named in the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking. Campbell has a total of 20 professional wins in his career including 4 PGA tour wins, 3 Buy.com Tour wins, and 13 NGA Hooters tour wins.
