In 1961 he got his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pennsylvania State University. In 1965 he became a copywriter of advertisements in Lancaster and after some years he became the creative director. Donald after being a senior vice president moved to Hollywood. In Hollywood, he pursued his career in screenwriting and production.
