Jenna Marbles was born on 15 September 1986 in Rochester, New York, United States. Her father is a successful chemist and she also has a brother. Jenna went to Brighton High School and her alma matter is Suffolk University, where she graduated in Psychology. She then earned a Masters degree in sports psychology and counseling from Boston University.
She was not in a very good condition financially; she supported herself by bar tendering, working at a tanning saloon, vlogging & go-go dancing at nightclubs. After graduating, she lived in a three-bedroom shared apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She wrote for Barstool Sports site’s female targeted branch, StoolLaLa for a year, but then left the company in 2011. In April 2021, she got engaged to long-time partner Julien Solomita.

In June 2020, she uploaded an apology video for the content posted in those previous years saying ‘she is ashamed, awful and sad to be a part of it’. Her apology received positive feedback from audience. Offensive videos included impersonation of Nicki Minaj, rapping anti-Asian slander & shaming women who slept with more than one person.
