Her parents were jazz musician, bassist, actor, and composer William ‘Bill’ James Edward Lee III and Jacquelyn (née Shelton), a teacher of black literature and the arts. Spike Lee (an actor, producer, director, and writer), David Lee (a still photographer), Chris Lee (who oversees Spike Lee’s goods store), and Cinque Lee are her four brothers (actors).
