On July 2, 1947, Larry was born in Brooklyn to Rose and Monty David. Larry first went to the University of Maryland, then Sheepshead Bay High School. Larry discovered this in his college days that he could even make people laugh simply by being himself. Larry earned a degree in history on his graduation and after graduating from college, David joined the US Army Reserve and took on a number of odd jobs, such as limo driver and store clerk. In his early days Larry wrote for and appeared in the popular ABC sketch series “Fridays” from 1980-1982. From 1984 to 1985, he worked as a writer for “Saturday Night Live.” He collaborated with future “Seinfeld” stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards on “Fridays” and “SNL,” respectively.

He became an executive producer for the final two seasons of “Seinfeld” that same year, joining the cast. Additionally, he appeared as a guest on the HBO comedy series “Entourage.” He played Sister Mary-Mengele in the 2012 slapstick comedy “The Three Stooges” in which he appeared.
