On July 2, 1947, Larry was born in Brooklyn to Rose and Monty David. Larry first went to the University of Maryland, then Sheepshead Bay High School. Larry discovered this in his college days that he could even make people laugh simply by being himself. Larry earned a degree in history on his graduation and after graduating from college, David joined the US Army Reserve and took on a number of odd jobs, such as limo driver and store clerk. In his early days Larry wrote for and appeared in the popular ABC sketch series “Fridays” from 1980-1982.
