In 2018, Mariah Duran won a gold medal in X Games Minneapolis in the women’s skateboarding street competition. This was her first gold medal. In 2018, she again won a gold medal in X Games Sydney in street style skateboarding.
In March 2019, Mariah Duran was a part of the 16 members of the U.S.A Skateboarding National Team. She also competed to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in the women’s Streetstyle skateboarding Division. Mariah Duran was announced as part of the U.S Olympic skateboarding team on 21st June 2021 by the USA Skateboarding. In Olympics, she competed in the women’s street event, and she finished 13th in the preliminary round. But she didn’t make it to the last round as it was not enough and consisted of 8 competitors in the end.
