Michael Graham Landon was born on 20 June 1964 in Encino, California, United States. His father was late American actor & film maker Michael Landon and mother was Marjorie Lynn Noe. He belonged to a Jewish-Catholic family. But at the age of 18, he turned towards Christianity. His siblings are Christopher B. Landon, Leslie Landon, Shawna Landon, half-sister Jennifer Landon, half-brother Sean Landon and -step sister Cheryl Ann Pontrelli. He married Sharee Gregory on 19 December 1987. They have three children together. Two daughters Ashley, Brittany and a son named Austin.

He wrote story and screenplay for some movies namely: When Calls the Heart, Love’s Unfolding Dream, The Last Sin Eater, Love’s Abiding Joy, Love’s Long Journey, Love’s Enduring Promise, Love Comes Softly, Michael Landon, the Father I Knew and Bonanza: The Return. Landon produced The Last Sin Eater, Saving Sarah Cain, Deep in the Heart, episodic drama When Calls the Heart and co-executive produced movies Love’s Enduring Promise and Love Comes Softly.
