Mohamed Hadid Early Life
On November 6, 1948, in Nazareth, Hadid was born into a Muslim family of Palestinian descent. He has two brothers and five sisters and is the son of Anwar Mohamed Hadid and Khairiah Hadid. Hadid and his family left Palestine as part of the 1948 Palestinian migration as a result of the 1947–1949 Palestine War. Hadid’s father had a job at the VOA and almost spent the rest of his life there as a writer, editor, and translator. Hadid studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and North Carolina State University.
