Rocky Wirtz was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. His birth date is on 5 October 1952. Rocky completed his graduation in 1971 from North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka. In 1975, he did his graduation with a Communications degree from Northwestern University. Rocky Wirtz grew up within the walls of Wirtz Liquor business and Chicago Blackhawks.

In 1950, Rocky’s grandfather bought a stake in the Blackhawks and then sold the stake to his son Bill Wirtz in 1966. Bill Wirtz inherited full ownership after the death of his father in 1983. He made many changes in the company. In 2007, Rocky has inherited the Blackhawk business after the death of his father. He hired the new coaches and executives on the team. He was responsible for the success of the Blackhawks as they won the Stanley cup in 2010.
His family had a liquor business and he took the control of Liquor business in 2007. In 2014, Wirtz beverages expanded its business outside the United States. This company was the first company that nationally established beverage alcohol in Canada. In 2015, he merged his 2.5 billion dollar alcohol distribution business with Charmer Sunbelt to create a new Breakthru Beverage Group business. Wirtz is currently the co-chairman of Breakthru Beverage Group and his son Danny Wirtz is the Vice Chairman of Breakthru’s executive leadership. Breakthru is considered one of the best and main distributors of spirits and wine.
