On February 19, 1959, Roger Stokoe Goodell or Roger Goodell was born in the area of Jamestown, New York. Roger, who was raised in a family with strong political links to the United States, excelled in sports in high school. He was brought up with four brothers. Roger participated in baseball, basketball, and football throughout these formative years. He was slated to play college football and served as captain for all three teams.
