Sam Altman Early Life
Altman was born in Chicago in 1985. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. His mother is a dermatologist by profession. He was raised in a Jewish household. After graduating from the John Burroughs School in St. Louis, he spent two years studying computer science at Stanford University. He eventually dropped out to launch the mobile business “Loopt” in 2005.
