Sam Bradford was born Samuel Jacob Bradford on November 8, 1987 in Oklahoma City. Bradford, who was raised in Oklahoma City by his parents Kent and Martha, graduated from Putnam City North High School (also located in Oklahoma City). Bradford was a local sports star for his Putnam City North Panther High School in football, basketball, baseball, and golf. In a very competitive market, Bradford would receive All-City honors as a junior quarterback. After his senior year, when he threw for 2,029 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games, Bradford was named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Team. He also received praise for being named to The Oklahoman’s Second-Team All-State.
