Stefan Raab was born on 20 October 1966 in Cologne and he is 55 years old as of 2022. Raab was raised in Cologne by his parents, who had a butcher shop, together with his sister. He was a student at Bonn’s Aloisiuskolleg, a Jesuit boarding school. He finished a butchering apprenticeship in his parents’ shop before going into the entertainment industry. He also studied law before quitting college after five semesters.

As the anchor of the comic program Vivasion for the German music television channel VIVA from 1993 to 1998, Raab rose to fame in Germany. He launched TV complete in 1999, and ProSieben started airing it four times a week in April 2001. TV Total began as a comedy format that mostly featured and parodied amusing and embarrassing moments from other television shows, but it quickly evolved into more of a late-night program with musical performances. By creating new sports, he also added pleasure and variety to the program. In November 2003, he started the first “official” World Wok Racing Championship in Winterberg, Germany. Olympic bobsled races are performed in timed fashion down a track using modified Chinese woks. The competition was held each year till March 2011.
