Early Life

Tom belongs to Italian descent. He was born in Houston, Texas, but he grew up in Orange, Texas. Byron started his high school education at Stark High School and transferred to West Orange-Stark high school. He finished his high school education in 1979 and later attended the University of Houston.

Career

Byron started his acting career in pornographic movies in 1982. Even though he was in his mid-twenties, he usually performed in ‘coming-of-age movies due to his teenage looks. He was known for playing a doctor in various films early on. Tom Byron collaborated with Traci Lords a lot and Traci even made her debut in porn films with Byron in the 1984 film What Gets me Hot. He is also known for collaborating with famous adult movie actress Ginger Lynn. Byron even claims to have convinced her to stay in the business when she initially wanted to quit.

He also had a rumored relationship with Traci Lords in the 1980s and admitted to having been in love with her. He also had his eyes set on Jill Kelly but she got married. Tom Byron dated another porn actress Tera Patrick when she was starting out in the industry. While working in the adult film industry, Byron was also working to make it as a hard rock musician in Hollywood. He also released a music video for his song called ‘Cat Alley’ in 1986. He announced his retirement from films in 2003.
