TV Derana Sri Lankan private entertainment terrestrial television station

TV Derana is a Sri Lankan private entertainment terrestrial television station that broadcasts in Sri Lanka. It is one of the most popular television networks in the country, having debuted on October 11, 2005. Its primary transmission tower is located on the Kikilimana mountain, and coverage is provided statewide by eight transmission towers.

In 2019, TV Derana also became the first channel in Sri Lanka to reach one million subscribers and one billion total views. This was the first time a local station has won so many honours at this renowned award ceremony based completely on research. TV Derana won these prizes the previous year, as well as the most important award, “The Local Brand of the Year.”
