Adam Derek Scott is an Australian professional golf player. He ranked no. 1 from May till August in 2014. He has won a total of 31 professional tournaments. Adam has only won one major and that is the 2013 Masters Tournament, the only tournament won by an Australian. He won the 2004 Players Championship, 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, and 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Adam went to Lady George Kindergarten and then attended Matthew Flinders Anglican College. He then went to The Kooralbyn International School. He was a member of the Golf Australia National Squad, and he went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Adam won the Australian Boys Amateur in 1997 and 1998.

Adam turned professional in 2000. He made his way to the 2001 European Tour season just by eight starts as a professional. He made many appearances on PGA Tour. Scott won the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Championship, and this was his first professional title. He made three other top-3 finishes and ranked 13th in Order of Merit.

In 2002, he won two European Tour and ranked 7th on the Order of Merit. His first win was Qatar Masters. Next, he won Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship. In 2005, he won Nissan Open, and he reached the top ten in Official World Golf Ranking. He again won the European title, and he won Singapore Open. In 2006, he played less on European Tour, and he focused on the PGA Tour more. At the end of the year, he won Tour Championship and won his fourth PGA Tour. In 2007, he won PGA Tour for the fifth time.

In 2008, he won his sixth European Tour at Qatar Masters and in April he won EDS Byron Nelson Championship. In 2009, he dropped out of the top 50 in the world’s ranking. At the end of the year, he won Australian Open. In 2011, his wins were PGA Tour and Barclays Singapore Open for the third time. In 2012, he held the second position in The Open Championship and won Masters Tournament in 2013. In 2019 he won the Australian PGA Championship and in 2020 he won Genesis Invitational. In 2022 Adam was hired as a Member of the Order of Australia.
