He was on the supervisory board of Jaguar Fund N.V., the company’s largest fund, as well as the advisory board for Tiger. Halvorsen left Tiger in 1999 to co-found Viking Global Investors. He now leads as CEO of Viking Global Investors along with David Ott and Brian Olson. Viking Global Investors manages more than $30 billion in funds. Viking Global’s activities mainly cover public equity and hedge funds in the global market. Andreas has held important positions at News Corp., Visa and Time Warner in the past.

 Apple was another one of Halvorsen’s significant investments in 2012, but he opted to sell Viking’s entire share in the company during the fourth quarter. In addition to serving on the board of Williams College, Halvorsen is a member of the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s board of trustees in Williamstown.
