Andy Lassner born on 30 December 1966 in Bogotá, Colombia. He was born to Ukrainian parents Jules Lassner and Danièle G. Lassner. His parents were Jewish by faith. His father was United States Marine Corps captain. He also has one brother. He studied high school in New York. Andy has struggled with alcohol and drug abuse in the past. He had been sobered for a long time but gave into the addiction once he was on the show The Rosie O’Donnell Show in 1996. He went into rehabilitation in 1999 and has been clean since then. He is married to Lorrie Lassner and have three children together; one daughter and born in 2006 twin sons. He is a huge fan of ice hockey team in NHL called Los Angeles Kings.

In 1990s, Andy started as line-producer for The Jane Whitney Show. Later, he produced shows The Richard Bey Show and The Carnie Wilson Show. In 2001, he was a co-executive producer on the show The List. In 2002, he started working on The Rosie O’Donnell Show. In 2003, he went on to work in his most popular and most acknowledged work as a producer titled The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He is an active member of the show and has a segment called Average Andy. He plays the role of an average person who interacts with experts of their fields.

Due to his easily frightened nature, DeGeneres sends him to haunted houses with celebrities to haunted houses creating a funny segment. He also worked as an executive producer on Family Game Fight! and Ellen’s Game of Games. He is the king of daytime talk show productions. He has produced film Sophia Grace & Rosie’s Royal Adventure. It is a film about two young girls who are sent to faraway land to work on the new queen’s coronation. In addition to that, he has produced multiple shows: Ellen’s Somewhat Special Special, Ellen’s Bigger, Longer & Wider Show, Ellen’s Even Bigger Really Big Show, The Test, and Kevin Nealon’s Laugh Lessons.
