After his graduation in 1990, he alternately maintained part-time jobs with Boyd Coddington and full-time jobs with Sternberger Design. In 1993, he quit his job at Sterebberger Design and began working for J Mays at Ford. After a few times, Coddington was able to convince him to work exclusively for him. 

He worked hard and got to the position of president of Hot Rods by Boyd, the Coddington’s business. Foose was responsible for creating the majority of the Coddington Company’s well-known innovations, including the Boydster I and Boydster II.
