Early Life and Education 

Clarence Thomas is the ex-former attorney and the current Justice serving in Supreme Court. He was born in Georgia on the 23rd of June, 1948. Most of his childhood was spent in his birthplace, where he went to Grammar School for the sake of his initial academicals period. 

For high school, he enrolled in Conception Seminary College, based in Luther Martin. He was into debates and speeches away more than usual and won several competitions in the city. 

In 1971, Thomas completed his bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Grammar with a high level of distinction. And during the same years, he founded a primary school with three of his friends, which was a great experience for them. However, in 1974, he graduated as a lawyer by holding a J.D degree in his hands.

Thomas’s parents were separated at a young age, and they abandoned him. He had a complicated childhood and spent his growing years with his grandparents in Savannah. 

Professional Career of Clarence Thomas

After his graduation, Thomas decided to shift to Missouri to begin his career officially in a better environment. He cleared two of the top-scale bar test before getting hired by any law firm. He practised law in the city for two years and then was appointed as an Assistant Attorney in the High Court.

Thomas served in the same position for six years, and then he went to the job of Legal Advisor and private Lawyer at a company that used to deal with the chemical. In 1979, Thomas again shifted and went to Washington with a promotion letter. Fortunately, he was elected by the Senate members of America and was announced as a massive success as he was the first black man to be there. 

He has served in four different courts, and in 1991, he was appointed as the Justice of the Supreme Court, where he worked for almost three decades and retired in 2018 with a giant appeal.

Personal Life

During his bachelor’s degree, Thomas proposed to one of his batch mates, who was his great friend too. They tied the knot in 1971 and welcomed their first kid in 1974. Unfortunately, due to conflict, they divorced in 1984, and Thomas remarried in 1986 to a career-oriented woman who is still with him.
