Craig Piligian was born on August 25, 1957. He won an Emmy Award in 2001 for his work as Survivor’s co-executive producer. He is married to Lucinda Dickey, with whom he has two children: Joseph Michael (born in 1986) and Amanda Marie (born in 1989).
Career
In 1997, he established Pilgrim Films & Television, which is now known as Pilgrim Media Group. Since then, he has produced some of television’s most innovative and enduring reality series for both domestic and international broadcast. Piligian started making Dirty Jobs, a Discovery channel show about blue-collar work, in November 2003. He produced some of the earliest reality tv programs, including 650 episodes of “Real Stories of the Highway Patrol.
He is one of the original executive producers of the ground-breaking CBS blockbuster Survivor. Over 170 episodes of the eight-year-long series were broadcast. In 2012, the program was over. In 2004, Piligian collaborated with Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White to create the boxing reality program “The Ultimate Fighter for television”.
