Jack Ma Early Life
Jack Ma was born in Hangzhou (a city in China), Zhejiang. His birth date is 10 September 1964. At an early age, he started studying English by conversing with some English speakers at Hangzhou International Hotel. At the age of twelve, he brought a radio and started listening to English radio every day. He along with his cousin applied for a waiter job at a hotel. Jack Ma got rejected because of his appearance while his cousin got hired. Then he started working as a porter and secretary.
After his hard work in college for getting good grades, he got promoted to the undergraduate foreign language. He became a good student after entering Hangzhou Normal University. He has excellent academic performance in the university and is ranked in the top five of the foreign language department with his excellent English skills. His mathematics was weak, so he failed entrance exams two times. After three years, he passed the exams and got enrolled in Hangzhou Normal University. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in English in 1988. After his graduation, he became an English lecturer at Hangzhou Dianzi University.

So, he made a website with his friend and within few hours he started getting emails from some investors. In 1995, he started his own second company named “China Pages”. After the success of his company, he started developing websites for many companies.
In 1999, Jack Ma was the head of an IT company but he resigned after some months and founded “Alibaba” company with his 18 friends. After the huge success of Alibaba, many companies including eBay offered to buy Alibaba. He was executive chairman of Alibaba Group. He often participated in acting and singing festivals.
