Mike Repole Early Life
Repole was born on January 21, 1969, to waiter Benny Repole and seamstress Annie Repole in Middle Village, Queens, New York City. He was raised in Middle Village and went to Holy Cross High School and St. Margaret’s Elementary School. Repole attended St. John’s University and earned a degree in Sports Administration there as the first member of his family to attend college. His first position following graduation from college was as a salesman for Mistic Beverages, a beverage manufacturer. He then relocated to Crystal Geyser, where he eventually attained the position of Vice President of Sales.

Mike and J. Darius Bikoff co-founded Energy Brands, formerly known as Glaceau, in 1998 when they were both 29 years old. Water from the Smart water brand was their initial offering. The enhanced water beverage sector has seen tremendous growth since Smartwater was first introduced in 2000, and it is nearly entirely to blame. The business was bringing in more than $1 billion annually by 2007 and Coca-Cola paid $4.1 billion to purchase Glaceau in the same year.
