At fifteen, he started participating in national under-18 sports programs and won 4 medals in his school time. In 1977 he enrolled on Rome Academy College on a scholarship basis that he earned via sports wins. 

In 1978 he attended Cornells Industrial School for his bachelor and science degree for two years. He again got admission into Harvard School of Law in 1980 concerning his Juris Doctor degree.
