Stephen Leo Bing was born on 31 March 1965 in New York City, State of New York, United States. His parents were doctor Peter Bing and nurse Helen. They were of the Jewish faith. His grandfather was a famous real-estate developer in New York named Leo S. Bing. Steve attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California.
