She was born in a Jewish family. Her mother Sandra was a housewife and her father, James was a lawyer. She is the eldest in her siblings. She was very enthusiastic about makeup. In 1976, Brown was enrolled in University of Arizona, but she was dropped out of the college because of her no interest in studies. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics’ first freestanding outlet opened in New Zealand. Within seven years, there were more than thirty Bobbi Brown cosmetics stores. She has done a lot of beauty podcasts and gave makeup Masterclass.

In 2020, Bobbi Brown has launched one more beauty brand known as “Jones Road.” This brand offers mascaras, glosses, washes, balms, eye shadow and eye pencil. Jones Road has been known as clean beauty brand. She has also launched collection of fragrances. She has also cofounded 18 Label in New Jersey which is a film and television studio.
