Vivek Ramaswamy Early Life
Ramaswamy was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was born. Vivek Ramaswamy parents left Kerala, India, to emigrate. His mother, Geetha, is a geriatric psychiatrist. His father, Vivek Ganapathy, worked for General Electric. In 2003, he received his high school diploma from Cincinnati’s St. Xavier. He was the class valedictorian, a nationally rated junior tennis player and a talented pianist in high school. Ramaswamy received his A.B. in biology from Harvard College in 2007.
Vivek graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Ramaswamy focused his thesis on the moral issues brought by the creation of human-animal chimaeras.
