Jack Nicklaus Career
Nicklaus started his professional golfing career at the age of 21, and since then Nicklaus has won a total of 117 professional tournaments. He has won 18 major championships, making the record for most major championship wins by any golfer. During his career, Nicklaus mostly focused on playing the major tournaments such as the Masters, U.S. Open, Open Championship, and PGA championship. Hence, he competed in 164 major tournaments, more than any other professional golf player. He also has 73 PGA tour victories.
At the age of 26, he had won all 4 golf major tournaments, the youngest player to achieve such a feat at that time. Between the years 1971 and 1980, he won 9 major tournaments and became the first player to complete the double and triple career grand slams. At the age of 46, he won his 18th major tournament by winning the Masters. He was also the tournament’s oldest winner. Later in 1990, he joined the senior PGA tour and won 10 tournaments, eight of which were major championships. He achieved these victories despite playing a limited schedule.

After his retirement in 2005, Nicklaus is now the head of one of the world’s largest golf course design and Construction companies called ‘Nicklaus Design.
