Larry Levinson is an American film and screenwriter from Baltimore and has produced more than 200 films. He is the president of a production company known as “Larry Levinson Productions”. He became famous for his work, Streets of Laredo (1995), Shadow on the Mesa (2013), and Missing in Action (1984). Larry has won several awards including Western Heritage Awards and Entertainment awards for his films. He is a father of two children, named Grace Levinson and Shannon Levinson, both of whom are actresses.

He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1942. Larry Levinson completed his early education in his hometown. He actively participated in writing competitions and was an active member of the drama club society in his high school.

After graduating, Larry started his career as a screenwriter. He did screenwriting for a television series known as Laverne & Shirley. In 1995, along with Chuck Norris, he worked in Canon Entertainment as a screenwriter and wrote the script of a movie named “Mission in Action 2”. Levinson also did a cameo in the film Gambler V: Playing for keeps as a card player, which was launched in 1994.

He started his production career by laying the foundation of Levinson Productions in 1993 in the state of California. The company and RHI entertainment were filed against by the Writers’ Guild of America West in May 2009 for failure to make timely payments. Similarly, in April 2014, LLP and its affiliates Hardstone Entertainment and Branwen Productions plus Crown Media Holdings, Hallmark Channel’s parent company, were being taken to arbitration by the Writers’ Guild of America over unpaid dues for 38 movies.
