Born Marcus Anthony Lemonis on 16 November 1973 in Beirut, Lebanon. He was born to a Lebanese father named Abdallel and a Syrian mother Nadia. His birth mother dropped him at a Lebanese orphanage and left. He was then raised by his foster parents Leo and Sophia Lemonis residing in Miami, Florida. He was adopted on 24 July 1974. Marcus attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. In 1995, he graduated with a bachelor’s in Political Science and Criminology from Milwaukee’s Marquette University in Milwaukee. His foster grandfather owned two of the biggest Chevy dealerships in the U.S. He was mentored by legendary Ford executive and developer Lee Iacocca. This brought his interest in automobiles.

Marcus tried to run for House of representatives as a Florida Democrat but lost. Then he started working with his grandfather at a Chevy dealership. It was later purchased by AutoNation in 1997. Lemonis held many high-level positions in management for them. Lee Iacocca encouraged Marcus to get into the RV-recreational vehicle business by helping him buy RV Superstores. Marcus remained CEO from 2001 to 2003. After that, he co-founded Freedom Roads and started buying RV dealerships. Later, a merger between Freedom Roads and Camping World happened in 2006, making Lemonis CEO of the new company. As the CEO of Camping World, he partnered with NASCAR and sponsored driver John Andretti & his crew.  Camping World took over sponsorship of the NASCAR East Series for 2008 season. Since then, Marcus has been a longtime NASCAR Truck Series sponsor through his two companies namely Gander Outdoors and Camping World until 2022. He served as the CEO of Good Sam Enterprises which is a company that provides membership for different clubs. Marcus merged Camping World with Good Sam Enterprises and became the CEO of the newly created company. He founded The Lemon-Aid Foundation in order to provide loans & investments to deserving entrepreneurs. He also founded The Learning Center. It provides different programs to help educate new & existing business owners. He has worked in several Tv shows such as Celebrity Apprentice, Secret Millionaire, and The Partner. He became a star through his own show on NBC called ‘The Profit’. In the show he helps promising yet turbulent small businesses by investing his own money. He also executive produced a film called I Really Hate My Ex.
