Sam Nazarian Early Life
Born in Tehran, Iran, Nazarian belongs to a Jewish family. His family immigrated to US after the events of Iran Revolution. Sam Nazarian was the son of Younas Nazarian. Younas made a good fortune for himself when he invested in Qualcomm. Following the family’s immigration to US, Nazarian was raised in Beverly Hills, California. He completed his high school education at the Beverly Hills High School. Nazarian later joined University of Southern California to complete his college education.

Nazarian started his professional career as an investor and businessman in 1998. Initially he invested some of his money in a telecommunications business called ‘Platinum Wireless’. Platinum Wireless was a business venture that specialized in distributing Nextel software. The business became number 1 distributor of Nextel software, within a year of its founding.
Following his telecommunication business, Nazarian used his family’s asset and started working in real estate. In 1999, he developed 3Wall. With his vision and hard work, 3Wall became largest owners of multi-family housing in Southern California.

To keep his brand fresh and in fashion, Nazarian only opens his clubs for a period of eight months or a year. After that, his clubs undergo extensive renovations and he reopens them under a new name.
SBE’s clubs and locations have been a part of various TV shows including, Entourage and The Hills. His clubs Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles and The Hyde in Miami are quite famous.

Sam Nazarian has formed partnerships with various high-profile chefs to open restaurants in various locations. He partnered with Philippe Starck and chef Katsuya Uechi to open a restaurant called ‘Katsuya’. Katsuya is opened in various locations such as in, Hollywood, Glendale, Brentwood, and Los Angeles. He opened ‘Sunset Strip’ in a partnership with chef Michael Mina. Nazarian opened ‘The Bazar’ with Jose Andres. In 2008, the restaurant was integrated with SLS Hotel. He also owns hamburger chain ‘Umami Burger’.
