 Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali were Steve’s birth parents. Jobs was born in San Francisco in 1955. The family, who adopted Steve, relocated to Mountain View, California, in 1959. Paul created a workbench in the garage for his son to share his passion for mechanics. By the time Jobs was ten years old, he had developed a strong interest in engineering and had made friends with many of the local engineers. Jobs struggled to function in a conventional classroom. He had multiple suspensions. He was exceptional in his studies though. When Jobs was 13 years old, Bill Hewlett of Hewlett-Packard offered him a summer job. In 1968, Jobs enrolled at Homestead High. Jobs was interested in literature and electronics throughout high school. Jobs enrolled in Oregon’s Reed College in September 1972. After one semester, Jobs left Reed without notifying his parents. Jobs often skipped classes, slept on friends’ floors, collected recyclable Coke bottles for food, and visited the nearby Hare Krishna temple for free meals.

In February 1974, Jobs moved back into his parents’ Los Altos home and began seeking for employment. He was employed as a technician by Atari, Inc. in their Los Gatos, California location. Wozniak presented Jobs with the Apple I computer’s basic design in March 1976. As opposed to Wozniak’s original idea to distribute everything for free, Jobs also suggested that Wozniak turn his Apple 1 into a for-sale item that other computer aficionados could buy. Jobs, Wozniak, and administrative coordinator Ronald Wayne established Apple Computer Company (now known as Apple Inc.) on April 1, 1976.

The initial success of the Apple 1 made way for the release of the Apple II. Apple II was an even bigger success. When Jobs was forced to leave Apple, he devoted himself to the development of Pixar Animation Studio and the computer business NeXT. Apple was on the verge of total disaster. At that time, Jobs unveiled the iMac and started the rebound that would make him a multi-billionaire and offer the world the iPod, iTunes, iPhone, iPad, AppleWatch, AppleTV, etc.
