He was born on 25 November 1965 in Queens, New York, United States. His father’s name is OG Teddy Lobel. In order to make money, he used to Shovel snow & rake leaves, delivered newspapers, and busses tables in his childhood.
Steve Career
Steve began his career in the 1990s at a Relativity record label as an A&R artist and repertoire. He started his professional music career with Run-DMC and Jam Master Jay. His first official managing client was Bone Thugs-n-Harmony but even before that, he had worked on projects with Fat Joe, Big Pun, Three 6 Mafia, Common, Eightball & M.J.G., and Eazy-E. He came into management because he wanted to be the guy to fight the record label for the artists. He managed the late Nipsey Hussle and Scott Storch, for whom people had lost hope. But the world saw them turning into the biggest hip-hop stars of all time. In 2001, he founded a record label & management company named A2Z Entertainment. It has three separate divisions for music, film, and production. He has managed other artists such as Sean Kingston and Missy Elliot. In 2019, he co-founded The Heavenly center in studio city. It is a treatment center that specializes in helping people recover from drug and alcohol abuse through cannabis. The recovery method was based on Scott Storch’s own journey. Lobel opened the first cannabis cultivation center which is also a hip-hop museum in 2019. He does meet and greets with artists such as OhGeesy, Dave East, Benny The Butcher, Krayzie Bone, DMC, Conway The Machine, and more at the Lemonade in Hayvenhurst, Aevyvan Nuys in California. It is also said that artists Lil’ Cease, the legendary Snow, and rapper Layzie Bone have recorded a few tracks in the Lemonade booth. He owns another dispensary named Cookies in Woodland Hills, California, United States. He has also launched a course named Steve’s Educational Series.
