Jamal Rashid was born to Brazilian Egyptian parents. He was born in Northern California on July 7, 1977 and adopted his stage name ‘Mally Mall’ when he was a teenager.

Mally Mall rose to fame when famous rapper Drake gave him a shout-out on one of his songs titled ‘The Motto’. That shout-out helped him get into public eye. As a producer who was just starting out, Mally Mall worked as producer for Bone Thugs N Harmony on their two albums titled ‘Thug Stories’ and ‘Strengths & Loyalty’. Initially he worked on a contract as a producer for Empire distribution but after some time he started his own music labels. He developed two music labels called ‘Future Music’ and ‘Mally Mall Music’. After the formation of his own music labels and companies, Mally Mall served as a producer for various artists. He worked as a producer on various tracks as well as albums.

 The artists he collaborated with include Tyga, Drake, Justin Bieber, Sean Kingston, Pusha T, Montana, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, and Usher to name a few. He also worked as a producer with 50 Cents on award winning documentary titled ‘2 Turntables and a Microphone: The Life and Death of Master Jam J’. Following that he started working as a producer for film music and also started working as a performer. As a performer he released two singles ‘Drop Bands On It’ which featured Wiz Khalifa and Tyga and ‘Wake Up In It’. He also collaborated with Jason Boyd who is a Grammy Award winning singer and song writer. He collaborated with Boyd to write and record two of Justin Bieber’s albums titled ‘Purpose’ and ‘Journals’.

While he released his debut studio album titled ‘Mally’s World’ in 2017, he also served as a producer on other hit singles like ‘Where You At’ (featuring French Montana, 2 Chainz, and Iamsu) and ‘Purpose’ (featuring Rich the Kid and Rayven Justice). Mally Mall also released a single called Physical, and Hasta Que Salga El Sol which was a No.1 on the Latin Billboard Chart. Mally Mall also appeared on the first season of a reality TV series produced on VH1 titled Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood in 2014 and appeared on the series with his then girlfriend Nikki Mudarris.
